A busy Term 2 in Patrick’s class

Published by Broombridge ETNS on

We’ve had such a busy term in Term 2.

During Aistear we learned all about the difficult work a farmer does. We also learned how milk and dairy products are made and where they come from. We learned that crops are harvested using a combine harvester and are sold to the shops after they are cleaned. During our aistear time we created our own farms from shoe boxes. We used plenty of lovely colours and farm animals to create our own unique farms. Aren’t they fantastic!

We learned all about St. Patrick as well during the month of March. We all decided to dress up in green colours on our last day of school before St. Patrick’s Day.  Don’t our outfits look amazing!

We are working very hard on our reading and we are practicing reading all different types of books in class. This term we looked at non fiction books. These are really important books that teach us interesting facts about different things. They can teach us facts about animals, countries, cities and science. We know that a book is a non-fiction book if it has a picture as a front cover, a table of contents page and if it has a glossary at the back of the book. Have a look at us reading non fiction books and writing down some interesting facts that we learned.
