Hi Everybody,

I hope you are all keeping well and looking forward to an enjoyable bank holiday weekend. We’ve had a very busy week as always in school. Please see the fabulous photos below of some of the busy bees in Saoirse’s class who are helping to make the front of our school bright and colourful.

We also accepted a delivery of a brand new communication board courtesy of “Finding Charlie’s Voice”, a wonderful charity who support children and familes of children with additional needs. Sincere thanks to Sharon & Jason (Parents of Sammi & Reggie) for nominating Broombridge for this wonderful board, and indeed to Jason for helping us to hang it in our school garden yesterday. We look forward to receiving some additional communication posters for inside our school building over the coming days to compliment this wonderful donation.

Some quick updates and reminders for you:

– With the fine weather thankfully hanging around can we please remind you to ensure that your children are wearing sun cream to school, and can we please request that all items of clothing are labelled….some fabulous jumpers have found their way to lost property this week following yard time.

– In line with our SPHE curriculum, our classes will all be covering the R.S.E programme over the coming weeks in term 3. Class teachers will be in touch with you to let you know the topic(s) they will be covering each week once they get started. If you need any further info please explore the RSE section of our school website. RSE – Broombridge Educate Together National School (broombridgeetns.ie) There is also a handy parents info leaflet located on the page as well as our curriculum guidance documents. This year, following on from the school closure for Term 3 last year, we will also be covering the topics and lessons the pupils missed from last year….i.e. pupils in Senior Infants will cover Junior & Senior Infant lessons, 1st class will cover Senior Infants & First class lessons etc.

Have a lovely long weekend, don’t forget school will reopen on Wednesday 5th May (Closed Monday 3rd & Tuesday 4th)

Kind regards,

Eibh
