This month, our Core Value was Happiness. This was such a lovely core value to kick off our new year. We had great fun exploring all the different things that make us happy and how we can help to make other people happy.

As part of the Belief Systems strand, we have been learning about Buddhism. Our younger classes have been learning all about the Buddha and his teachings. Our older classes have been exploring the story of the Buddha in more detail.

The 17th January was Martin Luther King Day. As part of our Equality and Justice strand, we have been learning about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s message; ‘I have a dream’. In each of our classes, we have been reading stories about the life of Dr. Martin Luther King and what this message means.
