Our Young Scientists in 4th Class visit UCD !!
This week 4th class enjoyed their first of six Science and Technology workshops at University College Dublin. The programme provides opportunities for the children to engage with a variety of STEM activities (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) based around the children’s interests and questions they have about the world around them. The workshops kicked off this week with the children exploring how to make a tornado in a bottle and launching rockets across UCD’s Science Centre. They enjoyed getting a glimpse into college life on the campus and a real treat for us all was getting to be like ‘real scientists’ and work in the labs. They are already excitedly talking about what might be in store for next week!
