Sadhbs First Class!

Published by Broombridge ETNS on

This week in First Class, we were learning all about the weather! Earlier in the week we learned about temperature! We conducted an experiment inside the classroom, to see if it was hotter in the classroom in the morning or in the afternoon!

Our results, by reading the thermometer, told us that the afternoon temperature was higher.

Later in the week, on Thursday, we were learning all about the different types of clouds.

We learned that there are mainly 3 different types! These are: Cirrus, Cumulus and Stratus.

A rhyme helped us to remember these types of clouds:

  • Cumulus clouds are fluffy
  • Stratus clouds are flat
  • Cirrus clouds are feathery
  • What do you think of that?

We then made some puffy paint and painted our clouds on different types of skies!

Check out the process of this below!

This week we also started our musical study on the band Coldplay! We did some listening and responding to the songs:

Viva la Vida, Clocks and Fix You!

We chatted about the instruments used in the songs, the mood of the songs and what the songs could be about!

This began an interesting discussion about how we all interpret songs in different ways.

Our week was a very busy one!

Until next week!
