What Clubs Are You In?

Our Active School Flag Committee were asked to distribute and explain a ‘What Clubs Are You In?’ survey to their classmates.
Each child was asked three questions:
1. What sports do you play?
2. What clubs, if any, are you a member of?
3. What is your favourite way to keep active?
The results were gathered and the Active Flag Committee worked hard to display the results on a graph. Shannon B. showed us how to make a bar chart and we ensured the graph would be easy to interpret by using a mixture of words and pictures. We also added in the various clubs that children are members of to encourage others to join clubs in their community. This graph is displayed in our P.E. hall.

The results of this survey showed that the children in Broombridge ETNS participate in a wide variety of sports, with the most popular being Gaelic football, soccer, swimming, martial arts, gymnastics and hurling.

The clubs which our students are members include SBG Charlestown MMA, Na Fianna G.A.A., Kyuzo Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Bohemian F.C., Clontarf Hockey Club, St. Vincent’s Basketball Club, Niamh Fitzpatrick Ballet Academy, Red Star Taekwondo and Kickboxing, Rivermount Boys F.C., East Wall Bessborough F.C., St. Brendan’s G.A.A., McKelvey Celtic F.C., Belvedere F.C., Finglas United, St. Finbar’s G.A.A. and St. Oliver Plunkett’s G.A.A.
